The Science Center was a blast. After the Legislative Building we traveled by bus to the Science Center and had a picnic lunch. After we all ate, we gathered around for a read aloud. We played at the park at the Science Center and it was awesome. It was a very busy playground because there were lots of other schools there! When we were there, we broke up into groups to explore the Science Center. We learned lots of new stuff and there was a lot of things to play with. One of the displays had us make our own energy. Pedaling a bike to 50 Watts was hard work! We went to a bubble display and got to make a big bubble around us. Some of us almost made the hot air balloon touch the roof! We thought playing the 3D hockey was fun. We got to see a stage show. The stage show was all about static electricity. A lot of people got to feel a shock. A lot of people had their hair go all crazy and stand up. If you wanted to you could shake your hair to make it go higher! There was also another stage show about tasting but we were having to leave when it was going on. One display tested our reaction speed. Some of us were good at it but it was pretty hard for most! The parents who volunteered were Mrs. Hilts, Mrs. Kurtz, Mrs. Kreiser, Mrs. Rathgeber and Mr. Schick. One exhibit let you climb really high up! One exhibit took a picture of our shadow. Another one showed your shadow as different colours. Did you know that light is not just white? It is made up of different colours. In the bubble station when you held the bubble up you could see a lot of different colours in it. There was a creatures exhibit with bats, frogs, salamanders, and snakes. One exhibit showed us tornado and lightning storms. We got to see all of the exhibits. There were so many exhibits it is hard to remember them all! At the end we were all sad that we had to go because it was soooooo much fun! It is a place worth checking out.
