Does Reading at Home Bore You?
Sometimes kids don't have a good library book at home but have read ALL the books at home and say that reading at home is boring! It doesn't have to be! Remember you can count any reading as home reading minutes. Are you reading a recipe? Helping your little sister with her homework? Reading the manual to a board game? They all count as home reading minutes!
If you have a computer and the Internet at home, the following websites are great places for Grade 4s to do some reading. Check it out!!!

Basketball and Rocks and Rings!
We have been fortunate to have different phys. ed. workshops offered to our class this month. Megan from Sask Basketball taught us about basketball and some fun games. She talked about a community basketball team that is going to be created.
Braeden from the Rocks and Rings program came to teach us about curling. We think its cool that he skipped Team Canada's team at the Junior Worlds in Scotland last year! Both programs were a lot of fun and taught us some new information about different sports!
