Field Trip 2012
We had an incredible day in Regina for our field trip! We had great weather and a busy day. The first stop was the Legislative Buildings. Our tour was very informative and although we weren't able to meet up with our MLA we were able to see a lot of things and had our picture taken by a photographer!
We spent the noon hour by the lake (trying to keep the geese from eating our lunch!) and then played a bunch of games in the park including potato sack races and chicken tag. Before we headed to the museum we played on the Wascana Playground for a few minutes.
The first hour of our time was spent touring the exhibits at the museum. The animal scenes were a hit with everyone as well as the dinosaurs and First Nations artifacts. Our second hour at the museum kept us busy between two workshops. One had to do with First Nations Games. The second had to do with microfossils. We were able to find our very own microfossils in samples of matrix. The games we played proved to be challenging and fun. Overall, it was a VERY successful (and tiring) day!
